Job stress amongst female faculty members in higher education: an Indian experience from a feminist perspective

Women academicians in higher education India have a more rigorous path to follow than their male counterparts achieving due professional status. There are several factors that hinder progress, including patriarchal concepts certain role expectations from women; stereotyping of women roles; and non-acceptance others. The notions about thus got embedded the sector negative impact on career progress. is also need understand phenomenon glass ceiling faced with promotion efforts inequalities they often encounter under chauvinism. Against this backdrop, present paper strives study contribute job stress dissatisfaction India, using constructs feminism. concludes understanding these enables members academia rationally navigate experiences create supportive policies ensure sustainable future for academic security, satisfaction, dignity.
